A Makeup Noob's FOTD

Yesterday, I decided to "doll-up" a little bit for my (twin) nieces' birthday.
I'm not really an expert when it comes to makeup, but I like to experiment and have fun with it.
Personally, I think that dark lip colors look good on me, but for this look, I decided to go with a neutral/pink color for that "pabebe" look. Haha!

Here's what I came up with:

Base: Human Heart Nature Perfect Coverage Mineral Foundation in Caramel

I love that this particular foundation is close to my skintone and makes my face look bright and radiant!

Cheeks: Human Heart Nature Mineral Pressed Powder in Boracay Bronze

It's supposed to be a pressed powder, but it sort of oxidizes on me causing it to appear a bit darker. I use it as a bronzer instead. :)

Eyebrows: Nichido Cosmetics Extra Waterproof, Protective Eyeliner Pencil in Dark Brown

Eyebrow noob! I don't really know how to do my eyebrows, but I just follow my brows' natural line and brush awaaaaaay!

Eyeliner: IN2IT Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Very Black

This was my first and favorite pen eyeliner last year, but when I bought a new one, I started to feel like it wasn't as amazing as I thought it was. :( Still love it, though!

Lipstick: Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick in In The Flesh
The only "pink" lipstick in my collection that I find tolerable. This is my MLBB shade, IMO. ;)

Human Heart Nature Tinted Lip Balms Review ♡

I was never really a fan of lip balms before. No, actually, I was never really a fan of anything "kikay." In fact, even during my first year of college, I'd go out with nothing on my face. No powder, no lip balms, no makeup at all.

When my first year almost ended, I became friends with this girl who was very "kikay" and because of her, I started using powder and lip balms.

At first, I used a lip balm from a commercial brand. Since I was new to the whole thing, I didn't really use it often so I wasn't able to use up the whole tube and it just expired. Yeah, I suck at being a girl.

Anywaaaaay, I also stopped using the balm from a commercial brand when I read about lips getting darker because of some chemicals present in cosmetic products. I decided to look for cheaper and healthier(? lol) alternatives for a lip balm so I switched to all natural products! :3

My Mom has been a dealer of Human Heart Nature since I was in highschool and she made me try a lip balm from them. I think it was chocolate flavored or something but I do remember not liking it. It was too sticky and I just felt like I was putting glue on my lips.

Last year, when my Mom and I went to a Human Heart Nature branch in Naga, I saw their tinted lip balms displayed at a corner and my Mom decided to get all three so we could try them out.

Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick Review

Last November, I bought 10 Wet N Wild Lippies from an online shop. Since it was pre-ordered, I received them after a month. It was actually worth the wait since these lippies are awesome and I got them at a cheaper price! :D

These lipsticks are available in almost every mall but are priced at 299 pesos. If you are a sucker for anything cheaper and are willing to wait, I suggest you order online. I got mine for almost 140 pesos each at an Instagram online shop :)

Before I go on, I should say that I don't really know much when it comes to make up (#MakeUpNoob) so I just use whatever I have and whatever looks good when I do wear it (my mom helps me too).

I didn't really put anything on my face here aside from the lipstick.

I swatched it directly on my lips because I didn't see the need to swatch it on my hands. Lol.
